RedZinc's Solution VELOX delivers service flexibility to wholesale carriers, reducing operational and enhancing service deployment metrics.

VELOX contains a Service Portfolio of service pipes. These can be offered to a wholesale partner for invocation on the network.

The service pipes can be modified by the wholesale partner on a monthly or quarterly event basis to suit traffic requirements. VELOX automatically configures routers and carrier ethernet equipment.

The service pipes can be differentiated by QoS class to reflect traffic service level agreement requirements (e.g. best effort, assured forwarding, expedited forwarding etc) in order to support voice, data and video traffic.

VELOX maintains a resource allocation profile and implements a connection admission control algorithm to ensure that resources will be allocated as requested by the wholesale partner.

VELOX contains a rating engine and generates charges on a periodic basis for each service event.
