CEO and Founder
Donal is the founder and CEO of RedZinc. He has extensive experience in developing end-to-end quality of service, prioritisation, service ordering and billing, internet protocol and broadband charging systems using packet network and other telecommunication technologies. He has raised finance for research consortia to develop internet technologies including quality of service, prioritisation and video streaming data applications over the internet. He has led multi-disciplinary teams from organisations across Europe and leveraged this research to bring innovative products in telemedicine and video streaming to the healthcare and other markets.
Donal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Dublin City University.
Terry O’ Callaghan
Terry O’Callaghan brings over 30 years of telecoms and electronics experience to RedZinc. His experience as a director of Digital Switch Systems includes international sales and management of product launches in EMEA and Australia to Telcos and major players such as Siemens and Ericsson. He managed product design projects and outsourcings to far east subcontractors. He ran an agency and distribution business selling a range of network infrastructure to the Irish Telco, Eircom. He has held senior operational roles in both Irish and multinational companies in the datacoms and medical electronics fields.
Terry holds a first class honours degree in Engineering Science.
Senior Software Engineer
Ricardo helped design and oversee development of RedZinc’s video platform range of products, Blue-Eye Handsfree, BlueEye Clinic and BlueEye First. He is responsible for the design and development of RedZinc’s Multi-Domain Virtual Path Slice Orchestrator, VELOX. Involved in a range of research and design projects from IPSphere standardisation trials to the current 5G work done in European Projects such as SliceNet, 5GEx, Q4Health and 5GHeart, progressing from earlier SAFE, Livecity and CityFlow projects researching and developing SDN networks and network slicing.
Ricardo holds a Computer Engineering degree from Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Coimbra (ISEC), Portugal.
Jeanne Louise Caffrey
Director of Marketing
Jeanne Louise is the Director of Marketing, responsible for all aspects of RedZinc’s marketing, including product marketing, demand generation, customer acquisition, brand, events, and content marketing.
Jeanne Louise has extensive technology industry experience. Prior to RedZinc, she worked in international marketing and business marketing for companies such as Jaspersoft, Lincor, Openet, ESB International and GEC Alsthom. She has also worked in marketing and product development for a number of research projects focused on Future Internet and 5G network applications in healthcare, education and industry.
Jeanne Louise received her Bachelor of (Electronic) Engineering from UCD Dublin and holds an MSc in Digital Marketing and Analytics from TU Dublin.
Rogerio is a software Engineer who has helped to develop BlueEye video platform, developing drivers for the camera and carrying out product design on the headset. He has extensive web and mobile development experience (started in Recife, 2009) in a PHP and Android environment as well as extended skills across multiple technologies (Java, C# and Python). Rogerio also works with BlueEye core and the BlueEye dashboard, developing interfaces between low and mid-level (C/C++ and Java), Linux systems.
Rogerio holds a Bachelor’s degree in Systems of Information from IBRATEC, Brazil.
Matheus has been involved in creating BlueEye video platform through developing control drivers, improving camera functions and changing the technology to a new platform. Matheus also works with BlueEye core technology, developing interfaces between low and mid-level (C/C++ and Java) and Linux systems. He has extensive experience in software development and analysis.
Matheus holds a Bachelor’s degree in Systems of Information from UDF, Brazil.
Computer Systems Programmer
Laura is a Computer Systems Programmer and has been involved in developing BlueEye video platform on an application level as well as other projects such as website development. Laura’s main interests lie in computer systems, database management and development environments.
Laura holds a degree in the Development of Multiplatform Applications in CPR Daniel Castelao, Vigo, Spain
Val has over 20 years experience in office administration as a PA and administrator and has worked in a number of senior roles both in Ireland and the UK.
Her role includes book-keeping, payroll and administration.
