Overview of video consultations using BlueEye Clinic for patients

BlueEye Clinic video consultation can be used by patients who have been given pre-arranged appointments from the hospital to consult with doctors and healthcare professionals remotely.

You can use it on any computer, tablet or smart phone using the latest Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Safari internet browser.

The remote consultation will save you the time in travelling to your appointment.

You do not need to create an account or download an app to have a video consultation, you simply click on the web link that you receive from the healthcare professionals to get into an instant video call.

Before your appointment time ensure that you are in quiet surroundings so you will not be disturbed during your appointment and you login to the call 5 minutes before your appointment time to avoid delays and inconvenience

On the date and time of your appointment, five minutes before your appointment, you will receive a link by email or by phone as arranged, from your hospital or outpatient department.

First you need to consent to camera and microphone access when prompted by the system (the video is not recorded anywhere).

This will bring you to a virtual Waiting Room where you simply wait until the doctor arrives on the video on your screen.
